Modernizing Seawage Plants

There are many sewage systems and plants in the West that have been in the operation for 30 years at least.  Some are even longer than that.  Sewage systems and plants are considered as the arena which has not received enough attention historically because these are the least glamorous areas of operation for pumping equipment.  It is also because government agencies are budget controlling as well as allocating the funds for modernization which is not on the highest spending priority.  This is a total mistake since there are a substantial savings that needs to be made for modernizing the pumping system within the aging sewage plants.  The typical plan for modernization involves three stages and it depends on the operation type for sewage plant although the principles remain the same usually.

Typically, recycling plants and sewage disposals are older installations which expanded by additions of ad hoc and re-designing.  The pumping solutions in many instances are no longer efficiently working and there is a substantial savings when it comes to efficiency of operation, maintenance of savings, energy savings, improvement of capacity and the redundancy that needs to be gained by modernizing pump systems.  Colfax is the leading provider of fluid handling equipment like the crude oil transfer pumps and commercial marine pumps.  They can be found online.  You can also find information about industrial pumps and pumps for power generation at their site.
