How to Handle Firing Employees

Firing employees is a tough decision rather than to hire another employee.  Sometimes, it takes time to decide on how to convince a person that he or she is fired on his or her commitment.  Firing is unavoidable but it has a reason to consider why you do it for the sake of the benefit of the company.  It feels so hard on the part of the employer especially if you are firing women because of their feelings. Therefore, you need to choose methods to make women comfortable and convincing why you need to fire her.  Here are some ways on how to handle this kind of situation.

Never eliminate or fire someone when you are angry.  You must be careful for what you are saying because of your emotional anger because you might possibly eat your words later on.  You must put yourself on your neutral emotion so that it will be clear for both of you to calm down rather than to argue which leads to misunderstandings.  Be prepared on how to manage employees’ certain questions.  Employees would want to know some things before they will leave your company.  Employees want it to be clear why you choose to terminate them.  They want reasonable and convincing answers to their questions so that they will not have questions and doubt why you fired them.  So be prepared for these matters.  Do it as fast as you can.  You should do it like pulling off a band aid as quickly with possible as little pain.  Firing employees prevent serious emotional pain than taking longer time to fire them.  Making it fast as possible can preserve the employee’s self esteem and not dragging his or her dignity.
